"Starter for 10" Courseware
Trainers and tutors can access all the elements of the course materials for the beginner's introductory course to the Internet we call 'Starter for 10' on this page.
Please note: before and after using these materials, we would be very grateful if you would ask each learner to complete an online assessment form which will record their progress and achievements. Clicking here will take you to the form.
You can either download the entire set of materials in one self-extracting zip file or you can download or view discrete elements.
For each of the 12 'units' in this course there is PDF document for the learners to use ans a Powerpoint show for the trainer to use. There is also a link to a YouTube video for each.
If you wish to edit or 're-brand' the materials, perhaps with your organisation's logo, please contact use at TransformIT@surreyllp.org.uk.
To download the entire set of courseware right-click here, choose 'save target as' and navigate to a folder where you wish to save the file. The file is 15MB in size so it may take a while depending on your download speed. Once the file is downloaded, locate it, double-click it and follow the instructions to extract all the files into a location of your choice.
To download or view discrete elements, please click on the 'download' links in the table below. In Internet Explorer you will then be given the choice of opening or saving the Powerpoint files but the PDFs and the videos will open in the browser. Alternatively, you can right-click on a link and choose 'Save target as' (except for the videos).
