SLLP Supports Grant-Givers
We are pleased to have been invited to sit on the grant-making panels of both Surrey Community Action’s Community Grants programme and Surrey Community Foundation’s Grassroots Grants programme. We provide community knowledge and advise on grants to both organisations as part of our commitment to constantly improving access to learning for people that face the most barriers.
Distributing Capital Funding
We have worked closely with the Learning and Skills Council to distribute Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC) capital funding to voluntary and community projects which provide genuine benefits for Surrey’s adult learners.
Applications for funding in 2008-09 far exceeded the amount available and grant decisions were made at the Action for Communities Steering Group. Grants for this period were awarded to:
