Westborough TransformIT - May 2010

The aim of Westborough TransformIT is a three month ‘blitz’ of up-skilling opportunities in Westborough and Park Barn that attract those who do not currently engage in learning. We want to make a positive impact on over 16s who are not in training or employment, or work part-time and want to upskill.

We are doing this by centring activity on a ‘champion with a bank of internet enabled laptops’ who is working in community venues with groups and individuals. We are working with partners who are delivering courses alongside the project, and planning together for progression for the people that get involved. The funding for this project is from the Surrey Improvement Partnership and the bid was supported by Guildford Local Strategic Partnership.
