Get Digital - Delivering Digital Inclusion in Sheltered Housing - January 2010
Following the government’s commitment in 'Building a Society for All Ages' to promote and support digital inclusion for older residents in sheltered housing, Digital Unite and NIACE are delighted to announce a new, far reaching digital inclusion programme, Get Digital.
The government is providing approximately 20,000 people living in sheltered housing with access to the internet under this new £2.9 million programme which will be delivered by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) and Digital Unite. Sheltered Housing schemes are invited to apply to participate in Get Digital from the end of January 2010, with the programme beginning in March 2010 until March 2011.
